Surveillance of IBD: Improving Outcomes of IBD-related Cancer

This webinar delves into the critical role of surveillance in IBD, with an emphasis on the early detection and management of dysplasia.

Learn from leading experts as they discuss practical strategies, guideline adherence, and best practices to enhance patient outcomes and reduce cancer risk.

Key Topics Include:

âś… Organization of IBD surveillance:

Too many patients are not offered timely IBD surveillance, some have surveillance when they don’t benefit from it, many are not properly prepared adequately, and surveillance itself is often suboptimal. Ways of overcoming these challenges will be discussed.

âś… Surveillance and Dysplasia in IBD:

How much can IBD-related cancer be prevented with colonoscopy? Gain insights into early identification and management of dysplasia, reducing cancer risk. Our experts will discuss best practices, who should do surveillance and the latest BSG guidelines for risk-stratifying patients for surveillance.

âś… Shared Decision-Making:

Patients at high risk of IBD-related cancer are often confronted with difficult decisions. Some will refuse surveillance altogether. The webinar will discuss how we help IBD patients make well-informed decisions about reducing their cancer risk.
