Oesophageal Squamous Dysplasia using Endoscopic Imaging
The mid esophagus reveals abnormalities, including surface adherent fibrin and irregular vessel patterns. High grade squamous dysplasia, potentially early invasive cancer, is present but deemed curable. Chronic inflammation and disease mark the esophagus, with the possibility of overlooked lesions. Without proper expansion of the esophagus during withdrawal, abnormalities in the dependent zone could be missed. Hence, controlled and smooth esophageal withdrawal is vital for precise examination.
