Train the Endoscopy Trainers — Day 2, Therapeutic (EMR / POEM / ESD)

What this day is

Day 2 takes the same trainer→trainee→faculty feedback loop from Day 1 — augmented with video — and applies it to therapeutic endoscopy. Cases progress from EMR through POEM to ESD. As complexity rises, the training language has to change. That is the explicit teaching point of the day.

Cases

• Case 1 — EMR. Decision-making for non-lifting flat lesions. Trainer: Prof Valori.
• Case 2 — EMR. A more complex resection with hybrid technique. Trainer: Dr Church.
• Case 3 — POEM. Per-oral endoscopic myotomy: cognitive load and what to verbalise. Trainer: Dr Tate.
• Case 4 — ESD. Endoscopic submucosal dissection: how training language adapts when procedural decisions cascade. Trainer: Dr Tate.

Trainers and senior fellows working in therapeutic endoscopy who want a rigorous, structured way to coach trainees through complex procedures. Live in-person seats are limited to 10; virtual stream available for an additional 60 viewers.
